Effective shoot production requires you to focus on the big picture while not losing sight of the details. Your skills as a manager need to be as effective as your ability as a creative, and strong organization, communication and project management abilities are essential!
I’ve produced most of the shoots I’ve art directed. I’m capable -- and enjoy! -- wearing a lot of different hats and juggling a lot of moving pieces, including: talent selection, rate and usage negotiation, contractor management, prop selection and coordination, shot lists, location scouting, permitting and other contract needs.
